By using the e-shop of the University of Cyprus you agree to be bound by the terms of use, as published on the University’s website from time to time.
UNAUTHORISED USE OF THE WEBSITE
Illegal and/or unauthorised use of our website, including but not limited to the unauthorised sale of products and the use of any tool on the pages of the said website, shall be investigated and all legal remedies available to the University of Cyprus shall be pursued.
TRANSACTION SECURITY
The University of Cyprus e-shop has implemented the most modern and well-established security policies related to the conduct of financial transactions and the personal data of users, while it ensures the uninterrupted availability of the services provided.
Personal Data: The personal data you provide, in particular, your name and surname, your phone number, and your home and email address, are protected through the use of the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol and are encrypted. The University of Cyprus e-shop holds a certificate of authenticity, which certifies that the SSL protocol is genuine and authentic, confirms the identity of the e-shop and its web address (URL), and encrypts all personal data entered in it.
Settlement of online transactions: The University of Cyprus e-shop does not, in any way, collect or store your card details. Online transactions by card are conducted using the secure system of JCC, through re-direction to a secure server of the specific bank and through the transfer of the card details with SSL encryption.
All transactions conducted through the University of Cyprus are governed by international and European law, which regulates issues related to electronic commerce, as well as by the Law on Consumer Protection (N. 2251/1994), which regulates issues related to distance selling.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS
The University of Cyprus e-shop has been created to serve you quickly and efficiently. The following terms and conditions are intended to help you understand the process of purchasing products from eshop.ucy.ac.cy, as well as your obligations and rights against the University of Cyprus. METHODS OF PAYMENT
Products available on our website can be purchased exclusively by credit/debit card. The card is charged upon the purchase of the product(s) and following the completion of the online transaction. The University of Cyprus has taken all appropriate measures to ensure the security of card transactions. In case of card transaction failure, the order is automatically cancelled.
PRICING ERRORS
In the event that the amount you have paid for a product is incorrect, and regardless of the reason for this, (e.g. incorrect data entry, misleading information, or temporary malfunction of the university’s software), the University of Cyprus shall have the right to cancel your purchase and return the product value.
ORDER CONFIRMATION
In case that following the submission of your personal data for the completion of the payment you do not receive a confirmation message through the confirmation page, or in case an error message appears, or a service interruption occurs while submitting your data, it is your responsibility to contact the Press and Public Relations Office of the University of Cyprus (tel. 22894304, email: [email protected]) in order to find out whether your transaction has been completed or not. If, for any reason, you do not receive confirmation for your order and payment, the University of Cyprus shall not be held responsible for your loss (financial or otherwise), since the electronic card transaction is processed using the secure system of JCC, through re-direction.
PICK UP OF PRODUCTS
Purchased products may be picked up at designated distribution points. In case you wish to receive your parcel via courier, this should be indicated during the purchase process of the product(s) so as for the corresponding additional charge to be calculated.
RETURNS-CHANGES
Once the transaction is completed, it is not possible to refund or change products. Defective products or clothing items that need to be changed because of sizing issues are an exception. In these cases, the product will be immediately exchanged for a new one, provided that there is stock availability. In the event of stock unavailability, the purchase of another product at the same price will be suggested, or a refund will be made.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The University of Cyprus will not be liable to users for any damages that may arise from the failure or untimely completion of their order. In any case, our institution will ensure that users will be informed in a timely manner of the unavailability of products.
